The Doosan Yonkang Foundation announced on the 28th that it has published a collection of employment essays featuring the employment success stories of scholarship recipients as part of its Technical High School Scholarship program.
The Doosan Yonkang Technical High School Scholarship program selects students from Meister high schools in the semiconductor, nuclear energy, energy, robotics, and mechanical engineering fields, as well as high schools in related industries, and provides an annual scholarship of 2 million won per recipient. Launched in 2023, the program produced its first graduating class this year, and notably, the first batch of scholarship recipients achieved a 100% employment rate* among graduates.
The collection of employment essays, containing the scholarship recipients' vivid experiences and employment tips, will be distributed to each school to share with future scholarship recipients.
The Doosan Yonkang Technical High School Scholarship has supported a total of 108 students from 18 schools through 2024, with plans to support two more schools in the semiconductor field in 2025. This program is expected to play a positive role in revitalizing the employment ecosystem across diverse industries.
Park Yong-hyun, Chairman of the Doosan Yonkang Foundation, said, "I hope this collection of essays will inspire and encourage future scholarship recipients, helping them grow into technical talents who will lead Korea's industrial development."
*Employment rate: Based on the employment rate calculation formula from the 2024 Vocational High School Graduate Employment Statistics Survey (November 2024) published by the Ministry of Education.
