The Doosan Yonkang Foundation announced on the 13th that it has signed a business agreement to support overseas field trips for the winners of the ‘Republic of Korea Mathematics Education Award’ selected by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.
The signing ceremony held at the Korea Educational Facilities Safety Institute in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho, Doosan Yonkang Foundation Chairman Park Yong-hyun, and Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity Chairman Cho Yul-rae.
The ‘Republic of Korea Mathematics Education Award’ is an award hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, and is awarded annually to teachers who have contributed to the development of mathematics education.
Through this business agreement, this year’s winners will be able to participate in overseas field trips provided by the Doosan Yonkang Foundation.
Doosan Yonkang Foundation Chairman Park Yong-hyun said, “We believe that providing teachers with opportunities to gain a wide range of experiences is the way to promote education in our country and foster future talent, and we will continue to provide support.”
Doosan Yonkang Foundation has been supporting overseas academic tours for teachers since 1989, and a total of 3,283 teachers have participated to date.
