The Doosan Yonkang Foundation will hold the ‘Science Teacher Academic Tour’ for elementary, middle, and high school science teachers in two sessions from January 15 to 29 to visit domestic and international science-related industrial sites and educational sites.
The 33 winners of the 2020 and 26 winners of the ‘Science Teacher of the Year’ award, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, will participate in this tour.
The participants will visit industrial sites in Changwon, Gyeongnam, and science museums, companies, and high schools in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, Japan for 7 nights and 8 days to examine science and technology and educational sites.
The Doosan Yonkang Foundation has been conducting science teacher academic tours for teachers who have won the ‘Science Teacher of the Year’ award since 2007. The tour, which was temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, was resumed in 2023, and a total of 581 teachers have participated in 16 tours so far.
