Doosan Yonkang Foundation provides 800 million won in cancer research funds to Seoul National University Hospital

Support of 100 million won per year until 2030, totaling 2 billion won in cancer research support

Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong-Hyun Park) has provided 800 million won in cancer research funds to Seoul National University Hospital.


On the 30th, Doosan Yonkang Foundation held a cancer research fund support agreement signing ceremony at the Seoul National University Hospital Daehan Hospital with Chairman Yong-Hyun Park and Seoul National University Hospital President Young-Tae Kim in attendance.


Doosan Yonkang Foundation will provide 100 million won per year from this year to 2030, for a total of 800 million won, and the entire amount will be used for oncology research at Seoul National University Hospital. Doosan Yonkang Foundation has already provided 1.2 billion won in cancer research funds to Seoul National University Hospital from 2006 to 2017, and the total cumulative support including this agreement amounts to 2 billion won.


At the signing ceremony, Doosan Yonkang Foundation Chairman Yong-Hyun Park said, “I hope that we can contribute to the national health and medical development based on clinical basic research support for cancer treatment and prevention.”


The Doosan Yonkang Foundation is a scholarship and academic foundation of the Doosan Group that has supported scholarships, academics, and cultural projects since its establishment in 1978.
