Doosan Yonkang Foundation delivers special scholarships to students in Daegu-North Gyeongsang Province to support damage recovery from COVID-19

On March 26, Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong Hyun Park) announced that it will support a total of 300 million won in special scholarships to middle and high school students in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, which were designated as special disaster zones due to the damages inflicted by the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The scholarships will be delivered to 300 students through the Daegu-North Gyeongsang Province’s Office of Education.


Since 2006, Doosan Yonkang Foundation has been supporting students in disaster-stricken areas, including natural disasters such as floods and typhoons. It has delivered a total of 850 million won in special scholarships to 1,050 students to date.


Chairman Yong Hyun Park said, “I hope this will help the students in Daegu-North Gyeongsang Province, the hardest-hit areas by this incident, to continue their education in a safe environment.”
