□ Doosan Group Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Y. H. Park) gave 100 million won (US$ 78,900) in Doosan Sports Dream Tree Scholarship money on April 30 to the Seoul Seongdong District Office of Education and Jungbu District Office of Education.

□ Doosan Sports Dream Tree was established last year to promote sports in schools and teach young athletes.

□ The scholarship was given to 14 schools and 3 outstanding athletes under the Seongdong District Office of Education and 7 school teams within the Jungbu District Office of Education.

□ At the scholarship giving ceremony, Y.H. Park, Chairman of Yonkang Foundation, said “Sports in schools are an important factor for students to develop a healthy body and mind. I hope the support can be of some help for creating a better environment for young athletes to realize their dreams and ideals.”

□ Since the establishment as Doosan’s scholarship foundation in 1978, Yonkang Foundation has been supporting scholarship, science, and cultural programs.
