On June 9, Doosan Group’s Yongkang Foundation (Chairman Y.H. Park) held a “Let’s Experience Theme Park Fun” event at Everland in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do. One hundred students recipients of Doosan scholarships were invited to take part together with Doosan executives and staff after being selected as “Doosan’s Family of Children”.

The annual Doosan children’s festival, which marked its fourth edition this year, was arranged to benefit children who virtually serve as household heads amid a disadvantageous living environment.

Some 110 Doosan executives and staff volunteered to participate in the event. They visited elementary schools in various locations and took students to the theme park, and each staff had a child as partner to have fun, enjoying rides and watching performances

together.

Chairman Y.H. Park said, “Society needs to pay constant attention to and express affection for children who are not protected adequately, especially in these difficult economic times. Though it was only a one-day event, I hope that it will provide the children with many

happy memories.”
