□ Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Y.H. Park) published the book, ‘Joyful Science Creates Science Talent,’ a compilation of travelers’ accounts published by science teachers based their overseas study tours, and held a ceremony to commemorate the publication at Doosan Art Center on July 24.

□ The book is collection of travelers’ accounts, written by science teachers who participated in the third overseas tour program, which was offered by Doosan Yonkang Foundation to this year’s winners of “Science Teachers of the Year” award among elementary, middle and high school science teachers.

□ Notably, the book contains vivid accounts of what participating teachers experienced during their tours to various science facilities and museums in Japan. As such, it is expected to serve as a good reference for people working in the educational community.

□ The Science teachers’ oversea study tour program, one of the foundation’s academic study tour programs, has been offered since 2007 to winners of the “Science Teachers of the Year” award, which is presented by the Ministry Education, Science and Technology.
