Doosan Group's Yonkang Foundation Offers ‘4th Academic Tour for Science Teachers’

□ Doosan Group's Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Y.H. Park) will offer the “Fourth Academic Tour for Science Teachers” to teachers at elementary, middle and high schools from January 25 to 31.



□ The participants will be comprised of 38 teachers, who won the “Science Teachers of the Year award” presented by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.



□ The teachers will take part in a seven-day tour, which will take them to Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, and Doosan Infracore in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, and science museums in the Tokyo region, and the Toyama High School in Japan, to allow them to experience the sites of science and technology and science education in person.



□ Chairman Y.H. Park said, “I hope that the experience of teachers, who will examine and experience field sites of science in Korea and abroad in person, will contribute to the cultivation of science talent, who will serve as the basis for the development of Korea’s science sector.”



□ Meanwhile, the foundation has assisted overseas tours for science teachers every year since 2007. The program has benefited 144 teachers so far.
