Doosan Group Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Y.H. Park) announced on August 30 that it had selected five recipients for the 21st Yonkang Chinese Study Researchers scholarship, and will provide a total of US$ 8 million each for tuition and living costs in China for one year.
The researchers will be registered as “researchers of advanced study” and placed under the mentorship of distinguished professors at Peking University and other prominent institutions in China, where they will engage in in-depth study of China’s politics, economy,
language and literature for a year beginning in September.
The Yonkang Foundation has been selecting and providing support to Yonkang Chinese Study Researchers since 1992 to conduct research on China and cultivate experts on the nation. A total of 87 researchers have benefited from the program to date.
