Doosan Yonkang Foundation (Chairman Yong Hyun Park) announced that it had awarded 100
million won (about $88,000) to Seoul National University Hospital to support cancer research.

The fund will be used to support the research of three professors of medicine at Seoul National
University Hospital: Hyung-Jin Yoon, professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering
(research on the development of the acute kidney injury predictive e-alert system for cancer
patients), Hyeonjin Kim, professor of the Department of Radiology, and Jin-Young Jang, professor of
the Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HBP) Surgery.

Doosan signed a cancer research funding agreement with Seoul National University Hospital in 2006
and has awarded a 100 million won grant every year, bringing the cumulative donations to 1.2 billion
won as of this year.
